...or would you rather have more comfort?
If you don't like sleeping on the floor, how about a hammock where you can just chill out every now and then? Our
XXL OnFire hammock is very robust, designed for two people and is easy and compact to transport.
If you prefer a hammock with an integrated mosquito net, we can recommend the OnFire hammock with mosquito net .
If you want to protect yourself and your night camp from rain, then a tarp is ideal. This is a protective tarpaulin with eyelets that is stretched over the camp with cords and simple sticks (including hiking sticks!). Our
OnFire Multi-Purpose Tarp also has a special shape so that it can be stretched perfectly over our OnFire hammock. A first aid kit (e.g.
OnFire IFAK ) is also essential for your adventure, with which you can take care of yourself in the event of minor injuries or accidents. You can
further upgrade the OnFire IFAK with the WERO First Aid Adventure filling , which also includes a CAT tourniquet and Isreali bandage . Sufficient food or trekking food must also be provided.
Tactical Foodpack rations or the field kitchen products from
Convar are super practical. You can also find various utensils for preparing meals in the outdoor kitchen, from ultra-light
gas stoves ,
cooking pots to
cutlery , in our shop.
So can we get started?
In view of the wild camping ban that exists everywhere in Germany, the question arises: When can a bivouac be set up at all?
Bivouacing as an emergency shelter is permitted: An emergency bivouac, ie an unplanned overnight stay outdoors for a good reason, could be necessary in the event of an injury, unfavorable weather conditions, unexpected problems, incorrect planning or approaching darkness. Then you will be glad that you took emergency equipment with you in your backpack - especially a
bivouac tent or Bivi Tent. It protects you from getting cold and helps you bridge the time until rescue workers reach you. Especially in such an emergency, you will also appreciate the value of a
rescue blanket and
headlamp .
A planned bivouac, on the other hand, could be equated with wild camping and is generally prohibited. It is therefore advisable to find out in advance exactly what is permitted and where.
By the way, a completely legal alternative to camping are so-called trekking sites, which are offered by tourism associations and nature parks throughout Germany along beautiful hiking routes.
